This is an entirely personal website, based on my interest in landscape and my love of painting, photography and travel. I hope to learn from those who visit this site as well, so please don't hesitate to mail me.
I have a range of cameras, none of which is very expensive, but accumulated over the years. I find an autofocus SLR with a 28 to 105 zoom lens useful but, with recent technological improvements, a digital compact with a crisp lens is essential for my purposes. If it has a panoramic facility, then so much the better although, in extreme bright light conditions, it is well worth investing in a shade for the LCD screen.
I would like to hear what cameras other people have found, or do find, essential travel companions.
More and more as time passes, I use a camera instead of a sketch book. Cameras are great for capturing images and split seconds; the emotion has to be held inside till back at the easel. Not always easy!
